A high-level Sudanese delegation, comprising political and civil leaders, governance experts, and humanitarian specialists, held a seminar at the UK Parliament to discuss the ongoing crisis in Sudan and potential future scenarios for the country. As part of their visit, the delegation also met with British diplomats and a senior member of the House of Lords to explore avenues for international engagement in resolving the conflict.

The visit focused on addressing key issues related to Sudan’s current situation, including the urgent need to protect civilians amid escalating violence. Delegates emphasized the importance of imposing a comprehensive no-fly zone over Sudan to prevent further attacks on civilian areas and critical infrastructure. Discussions also highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the necessity of ensuring unimpeded access to aid for affected communities.
Another major topic of discussion was the anticipated formation of a transitional government in Sudan. The delegation outlined their vision for a new administration that would work toward stability, democratic governance, and the protection of human rights. They stressed that any future government must be committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring civilian protection, calling for stronger international support to facilitate a successful political transition.
This diplomatic initiative comes at a time of intensifying conflict in Sudan, prompting political and civil society leaders to seek diplomatic and political solutions to end the crisis. The delegation hopes that these engagements will help mobilize international backing to push all Sudanese parties toward a path of peace and stability.
